midweek randoms: the cold edition.

My house can't catch a break. We can all catch colds, though, and the husband is home this afternoon with the kiddo trying to recover from what we think is the last of this cold.

Meanwhile I've had a cold for two weeks. Two weeks ago I started to feel blah. And I still feel blah.

I'm over the cold temperatures.

I'm supposed to run 18 miles this weekend and the weather person at lunchtime mentioned that Saturday is going to be "windy and messy." Not good for a girl who is *supposed* to get her long run in mostly without a running partner.

I may have two running partners at different times on Saturday, so that will be fun.

I've been sucked back into Pinterest this week. It's weird. I haven't been on there since before Christmas, but this week I feel the urge to pin so many party ideas. (One board is a secret. The other is for a party that won't take place for another 17 months!) So many ideas.

NKOTB is touring this summer. They'll be in Charlotte (with Boyz II Men, who I used to LOVE, and 98 Degrees. I don't really care about 98 Degrees.) The teenager in me really wants tickets. The adult in me is all "the money!" "babysitter!" "week night!" I'm pretty sure that show is not going to happen for me.

I haven't listened to a lot of music while running lately. I've been stuck on podcasts. I mostly listen to Dave Ramsey podcasts and Another Mother Runner podcasts. I'm hooked. And the podcasts are SO different from each other. Based on my mood, I choose one or the other to run to. (I tend to talk out loud to the Dave Ramsey podcasts because I get so angry with either him or the callers.) My finances should be in great shape come March.

Have I mentioned that I'm running the Nike Womens Half Marathon in DC? In April. I'm super excited. I think I'm way more excited about that race because 1.) I have never visited DC 2.) It's an out of town trip! 3.) It's *only* a half marathon.
